Clay Preserves Lycos Record
Clay Aiken is the most popular man on the planet and not just to his fans. According to a Lycos press release Tuesday, the singer was the most searched-man for 2008, a record he has held for three consecutive years.
Lycos, a leading provider of social publishing, media and search services, Tuesday announced its 9th annual list of top 50 search terms for the year 2008, based on the Lycos 50, a weekly list of the most popular people, places, and things Lycos users search for every day.
For the third year running, Poker draws the top spot, generating more search activity with Lycos users in 2008 than any other search term. The continued success of the World Poker Tour and year-round televised celebrity poker tournaments pushed online interest in Poker slightly ahead of Paris Hilton, generating only five percent more search activity than the celebrity heiress. However, when it comes to leading men online, film stars can't compare to singer Clay Aiken who takes home top honors as the most-searched man in 2008 for the 3rd consecutive year, driven by headlines of Aiken coming out publicly about his sexuality, and being a new Dad.
The Lycos 50 Top 10 Search Terms for 2008
1. Poker
2. Paris Hilton
3. YouTube
4. Golf
5. Sarah Palin
6. Britney Spears
7. Clay Aiken
8. Pamela Anderson

10. Holly Madison
Among the other headliners are the U.S. economic crisis, which surpassed the presidential election as the most searched news event of 2008; 'The Dark Knight' as top film search, and the Jonas Brothers as the hottest band with web users.

Clay Aiken fans know that Shubert Alley is the place to be following almost all Spamalot performances, the few exceptions being “gale force winds” and the singer’s rare under-the-weather occasions.

Kai Greets Holiday Season
Grandson Kai has welcomed the colorful holiday season with open arms.
Sunday while his mother was buying groceries, he and his grandfather were male bonding and watching football. With Poppy's attention momentarily diverted by a telephone call, Kai drug a chair closer to the sparkling Christmas tree, supposedly safely ensconced on a chest of drawers, and promptly pulled the whole thing down on his head.
Of course, this little maneuver immediately got his grandfather's attention, and the tree was soon righted. Meanwhile, Kai began examining the pretty Christmas balls on the floor. Thinking they would bounce like other balls, he tossed them onto the kitchen floor.
Poppy had a big mess to clean up, but Kai was quite proud of his afternoon adventure.
Depending on your browser, there is a holiday card above. If you are a member of Clayonline, share or send this card at this link: Merry Christmas with Love.
Have a wonderful holiday season, Clay Nation!
