'American Idol' alum Paula Abdul is gainfully employed once more as she'll be joining her old 'AI' co-judge, Simon Cowell on his new show The X-Factor.
According to the Associated Press Paula has signed on to be the shows 4th judge. She will joining the judging panel which includes British singer Cheryl Cole, former Def Jam president L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell.
Cowell had previously made comments about wanting Paula to join the show by saying:
"She's very passionate and she cares," he told PEOPLE earlier this year. "And she has good taste in music, though you didn't always see that on TV."
The X-Factor is a talent competition and will air in the Fall on FOX.
